Ladies!

Most of us go through our menstrual every month. Some suffer greater pain than others while some feel no pain at all. Females can get their periods from the age of 8 but the most common age is 11 or 12 years old. Not many females can just take a pill and have everything okay. Some people may need to exercise, use home remedies, birth control to ease the pain or end up in the doctor's office. I have two links for two different sites and on one of the sites it says all you have to do is sign in and then you can ask any questions about your period and get a response from an expert. It's also good to mark your calendar of when your period does come so you won't be surprised. If you are a new mother, to my knowledge if you breast feed your newborn you will not get your period but it all depends on your body. But ask your physician just in case. Also, if you are pregnant you can still get your period as well, which in some cases isn't healthy for your baby.

Various Links To Sites That Is Of Help To Older Adults

Many older adults such as grandparents need help and are afraid to ask or doesn't know about the info that I've come across. Firstly Diabetes is something you have to take care of within your body. Most people use Insulin everyday and others who have researched uses Victoza. Victoza helps lower blood sugar when it is high by targeting important cells in your pancreas-called Beta Cells. Victoza may also helps lose weight. For more info you can call 1-877-895-1439 or click on the link http://www.victoza.com/learn/benefits-of-victoza.aspx?channel=000720831&dc_dtc_victoza_vanityurl_victozainfo.

Many people have seen the commercial of LifeSentry by CIA(commercial instruments & alarm systems). It helps older adults for when they are home alone by themselves and need help. When they can't get to a phone to call 911 they can press a button on their 2-way pendant communicator which has a speakerphone. After pressing the button someone from the call center can get any form of help which is needed for the individual. This is of good use and relevant for someone such as your grandmother or grandfather, and even someone who is handicap in any way or form. The button can be pressed at any time of day or night. LifeSentry's base station plugs into any standard telephone jack and will allow you to communicate your message instantly efficiently from within many hundreds of feet of your base station. Also, the pendant is water resistant.

If Arthritis is a concern and you still have pains then Try Orencia. Orencia reduces signs and symptoms. It may also prevent further damage to your bones and joints so you are able to perform daily activities better.

HOW CAN I BEAT HEADACHE PAIN? from the Healthy Living magazine

Traditional:

George Nissan, D.O.
Co-Director, Diamond
Headache Clinic
Chicago, IL

Take an over-the-counter
anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen
or naproxen at the first sign of pain to
keep a headache in check. But be wary
of those that contain caffeine- while it can
be effective, it can result in a "rebound headache",
leaving you feeling worse than you did in the first place.
If you reach for pain medication more than once or
twice a week, consult with your physician.

Alternative:

Robert P. Cowan, M.D.
Co-founder & Director,
Keeler Center for the Study
of Headache, Ojai, CA

Yoga experts recommend breathing
exercises when a headache strikes:
Breathe in deeply and exhale slowly
for a cycle of six breaths; repeat as
necessary. If you practice yoga, avoid
poses where the head is lower than the
heart when you have a headache. Vitamin
B12 and Coenzyme Q10 may help reduce
the frequency of migraine headaches-ask
your doctor for dosages.

Lifestyle:

Alexander Mauskop,
M.D., FAAN Director,
New York Headache Center,
New York, NY

Hunger and dehydration are often
the culprits in headache pain. Drink
six to eight glasses of water and eat
four small, low-carb meals spread
evenly through the day. Stress headaches
may be eased by relaxation-like
taking short walks around the block. Get
enough sleep: Aim for seven to nine hours
per night and grab a 30minute nap to stop
the pain before it ruins your day.

Allergies are an overreaction of your body's defense system to normally harmless substances, such as pollen. We call these substances "allergens" or "triggers". When exposed to a trigger you get symptoms such as watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose, etc.

Allergy Triggers are most common with tree pollen, weed pollen grass pollen, an mold.

Some ways to avoid triggers are limiting your time outside on windy or dry days, take a shower or bath before going to bed to wash away pollen, keep your windows or doors shut tight, and use the air conditioner in your house or car.
